The Albanian-Swiss vocalist and the English guitarist began with Balkan folk, then widened to a polyglot book of standards; now they take an unexpected detour through the American canon — an Elizabeth Bishop poem set by Ned Rorem, a piece of Jerome Kern, a touch of Ellington. It should not work.
