The melody of "Materia" is Hildegard von Bingen's, and by now Holter has run it through three states. It appeared on Something in the Room She Moves in 2024, carried by voice and a blue Wurlitzer. Here it returns twice more: "Materia 2" rebuilt for drum machine, fretless bass and clarinet with Jessika Kenney added as a second voice, and "Materia 3," which is simply the earlier take slowed down — Holter's nod to the bonus tracks tucked at the end of the CDs she grew up with. This is a companion record and the band is unchanged: Elizabeth Goodfellow on drums, Devra Hoff on that fretless, Maia on flute, Chris Speed on reeds, Tashi Wada on synthesizer, Kenny Gilmore co-producing and mixing. Seven tracks, thirty-four minutes. Six Finnish pieces, all written in the last fifteen years, built around Kalevi Aho's four-movement sonata of 2019, which takes twenty-six of the record's fifty-four minutes. Two of the shorter works arrived by very different commissions. Cecilia Damström's "Aveo," five minutes and change, was written for people living with long Covid — for those who have had to say goodbye to the life they had. Sebastian Fagerlund's "Recitativo" was a set piece for the junior semi-final of the 2021 Porvoo Cello Competition and was premiered there that October. One written for the ill, one written to be judged, sitting four tracks apart. Roozeman plays a Tecchler cello of about 1707, on loan from a Finnish foundation, with a Persoit bow from Paris. 六首芬蘭當代大提琴作品，全部寫於最近十五年內，軸心是 Kalevi Aho 2019 年那首四樂章的大提琴與鋼琴奏鳴曲，光這一首就佔去二十六分鐘。

The Seoul band had to invent a word for this one: naseontalgak, spiral molting, which takes the Buddhist circle of rebirth and gives it depth and direction. The source is Tezuka's unfinished Phoenix, twelve stories about coming back, which is also why there are twelve tracks. The sleeve is ASCII art — twelve human figures stacked on a bird mid-beat — and the whole package leans on paper where the last record leaned on metal. Third album, three years after POWER ANDRE 99. "Manphasickzuck" takes its name from a flute out of Silla legend. A saxophone opens the record and closes it: Bryan Manzo on "Sightline" and again on "Uncharted," layered in Reich-ish reverb so the ten tracks sit inside a frame. The percussion is sampled from Trent Moorman's drums. The instrument on "Apparition" that sounds like nothing in particular began as a cello loop and went through several dozen filters; McIlwain calls it a happy accident. He assembled the thing as an arc rather than a run of singles, and cites his own Language Barrier from 2007 as the reference. Tenth Lusine album. Digital now, vinyl on 18 September. Written for a stage production of Abe Kōbō's The Woman in the Dunes this spring, then taken apart. This is not the soundtrack: Hatano rebuilt the cues as a standalone record, wrote new noise pieces for it and folded in material that had gone unreleased. The shape gives the rebuilding away — sand, the man, delusion, each motif arriving twice, with the man's theme opening and closing. Her instrument is a five-string viola. 音樂原本是今年春天舞臺劇《砂の女》（安部公房原作，山西竜矢編導、森田剛主演）的配樂，但這張碟明確不是原聲帶：她把劇伴整個拆掉重砌成獨立作品，另外寫了新的噪音曲，並放進此前未發表的段落。

Thirty-five years ago the three of them started playing together at Augie's, a bar on the Upper West Side. Augie's became Smoke Jazz Club in 1999, and Smoke Sessions is the club's own label, so this record comes out under the address where the trio began. Cut on 20 October 2025 at Second Take Sound with Paul Stache producing. The programme is pointedly wrong for an organ trio, most of it written by pianists: Jarrett, Randy Weston, Abdullah Ibrahim, Shorter, Monk, plus Irving Berlin. Six tracks, twenty minutes. The first is called "In" and lasts twenty-two seconds; the last is called "Out" and lasts two and a half minutes; the four in between are held inside them. The title track is the shortest proper song on it. The band formed in Kunming at the end of 2013 with the words "dance troupe" in its name, music and movement side by side from the start. No label this time. 六軌 EP，總長不到二十分鐘。第一軌叫〈入〉，二十二秒；最後一軌叫〈出〉，兩分二十四秒；中間四首被這一進一出夾住。標題曲〈森羅萬象〉兩分零八秒，是全碟最短的正式曲，最長的〈必是太玄境〉五分三十八秒。
