Six years after Drift, the cellist and the pianist went to a hall by Lake Sagami and recorded thirteen pieces in one sitting. Two of them are called "Lakeside #1" and "Lakeside #2." They run a minute and a half apiece, they are the shortest things on the record, and what they contain is mostly the hall — room tone, a little movement, the sound of two people not playing yet. Sequenced between "Kottesloe" and the Tailleferre Adagio, they read less as a concept than as somebody setting an instrument down and walking to the window. The surprise is track twelve. "I Loved You" is a Claus Ogerman tune, four minutes forty-one, the longest thing here, and the credit line says Cello & Vocal. Tokuzawa sings it. The voice is untrained and makes no effort to disguise that; Hayashi puts almost nothing underneath it. Both men make their living writing film and anime scores, which is exactly what this record refuses to sound like. 距離兩人 2020 年的《Drift》六年，這張在相模湖畔的同一個廳一次錄完。十三首裡有兩首叫〈Lakeside #1〉〈Lakeside #2〉，一分三十五秒與一分三十四秒，是全碟最短的兩軌，內容基本上是那個廳的空氣。這種做法通常會顯得矯情，但把它們擺在〈Kottesloe〉與〈Adagio by G. Out today, and their first album of new material since early 2023. Nine tracks, twenty-nine minutes and change, from a band that has been going since 1998. The sixth track, "willow," lasts one minute forty-six and is the only instrumental; Kana Otsubo's words have been dense enough for the five songs before it that their sudden absence registers as an actual event rather than an interlude. Jin Yoshida mixed, as he has for years. The record also gives its name to a headlining show — their first in roughly eight years — called a puff & a lull. 1998 年結成的樂團，距上一張原創專輯三年半，交出九首、二十九分十五秒。第六軌〈willow〉一分四十六秒，全碟最短，也是唯一沒有詞的一首。它擺的位置很像換氣：前面五首大坪加奈的詞已經把語言用得很滿，到這裡忽然全部撤走。混音仍是吉田仁。這張同時是他們睽違約八年單獨公演的名目，公演就叫《a puff & a lull》。

Kai Takahashi has said the title points at a stretch of time rather than a building. 出道十週年，隔四年的全長作。十首曲名在英文與日文之間來回換：RAIN、真夏のトワイライト、ベランダとコーヒー、HOME、五月雨。高橋海說 Homebound 指的不是房子，是人生裡重要的那一段時間。

Second album, eight songs, produced by ABAO and Huang Shao-yung in Taipei. The title track came out of the Book of Esther, and the brief Huang reports receiving was that it should be savage; the synth layers stack accordingly, though the whole thing is over in two minutes forty-two, the shortest cut on the record. "潛移默化" is the first song she has recorded with a full band behind her. What makes the sequence interesting is how the languages sit next to each other — Mandarin, Paiwan and English tracks alternate without any of them being framed as the guest, and the English lyrics are the first she has written. 第二張，八首，阿爆與黃少雍製作。同名曲取材自《以斯帖記》，黃少雍轉述阿爆當時的要求是「要兇殘」，於是電子層一層一層疊上去，兩分四十二秒的開場也是全碟最短的一首。〈潛移默化〉是她第一次用 Full Band 編制，四分三十九秒，寫給低潮時陪著她的朋友。這張最值得留意的是語言的排法：〈Cui錢〉〈這是我的Lumaq〉與全英文的〈Let the Light In〉並置，英文詞是她頭一回寫。

Two studios, stitched. The first nine tracks — Lalo's Symphonie espagnole entire, then the Korngold concerto — were made at Abbey Road with Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. The last three are miniatures cut in Berlin with the pianist Itamar Golan, two of them in Heifetz's own transcriptions: Debussy's "La chevelure" and Ponce's "Estrellita." The concept could stop there and still satisfy a press release. It doesn't, mainly because of the Andante of the Lalo, which she takes at six and a half minutes, slower than most, slow enough that the ornaments in the line stop being decoration and start being the melody. The Korngold is more conventionally handsome. The Debussy arrangement for violin and orchestra, ninety seconds of it, is the track I keep restarting. 這張碟由兩個錄音現場拼起來。前面九軌是 Lalo《西班牙交響曲》五個樂章加 Korngold D 大調協奏曲，在倫敦 Abbey Road 與委內瑞拉的 Simón Bolívar 交響樂團、Dudamel 合作；最後三首小品換到柏林，只剩她與鋼琴家 Itamar Golan 兩個人。這三首裡有兩首的編曲署名就是 Heifetz 本人——Debussy〈La chevelure〉與 Ponce〈Estrellita〉。她手上那把琴是 1731 年的「Heifetz, Piel」Stradivarius，Heifetz 本人用過的那把。致敬做到這個地步，剩下的問題就只有琴聲了。Lalo 第四樂章的 Andante 她拉得比多數人慢，六分三十四秒，慢到那條旋律的裝飾音全部聽得見。

White is twenty-five and has put out something like two dozen albums on her own Bandcamp, writing, recording, producing and playing nearly all of it; in February she covered Jessica Pratt's debut in full. This one has a label behind it and eleven songs. Talking about "My day at the casino" she named two reference points, early-eighties Queen funk and Ghostface Killah's "Wildflower," and what she took from the second was the idea of anger arriving as craft. "Atoll" is four minutes of interlocking keyboard arpeggios under a layer of wintry strings, closer to new music than to the singer-songwriter shelf it will be filed on. She has explained the title: new love happens, it doesn't replace what came before, it just adds. 二十五歲，此前在 Bandcamp 自己發了大約兩打專輯，寫、錄、製作、演奏幾乎一人包辦；今年二月還把 Jessica Pratt 的首張同名專輯整張翻唱了一遍。這張是廠牌盤，十一首。她談〈My day at the casino〉時提了兩個參照：Queen 八〇年代初的放克實驗，以及 Ghostface Killah〈Wildflower〉——她感興趣的是後者怎麼把怒氣寫成技藝。〈Atoll〉四分零九秒，交扣的鍵盤琶音上面壓一層冬天的弦樂，離當代古典比離創作歌手傳統更近。專輯名她自己解釋過：新的愛會發生，它不取代舊的，只是往上累加。

An octet with two double basses (Larry Grenadier, Anders Christensen) and two drummers (Marcus Gilmore, Brian Blade), plus Chris Cheek and Jesper Zeuthen on saxophones and Craig Taborn on piano. The album is called 8. They cut it in a single day at Power Station in New York on 31 March 2024, straight off a week at the Village Vanguard, and half the material is Paul Motian's — "Mumbo Jumbo," "Drum Music," "It Should've Happened A Long Time Ago," "Split Decision" — with the closing track returning to one of them for a second pass. "Mumbo Jumbo" runs exactly sixty seconds. Two drum kits and nobody crowds anybody. Aldana Duoraan & Tomáš Niesner — Plot

Duoraan was born in the Sakha Republic and lives in Prague; Niesner lives in Brno and plays American primitive guitar. A jaw harp and an acoustic guitar are the entire instrumentation. Each of the seven tracks pairs one particular khomus with one particular tuning, so the record is seven pairings and nothing else, and all seven are titled "The Key of" something drawn from the I Ching. In "The Key of Nearing," six minutes nineteen, the harp's overtones drift across a sustained guitar figure until it becomes genuinely unclear which layer is moving. Plot is Czech for fence. The sleeve is Alena Kučerová's 1967 print of that name. 薩哈共和國出身、現居布拉格的 Duoraan 吹口簧（khomus），布爾諾的 Niesner 彈原聲吉他，兩件樂器就是全部。七首各自對應一支特定的口簧與一種特定的調弦，七首就是七種組合。曲名全叫《The Key of…》：Attending、Darkening、Ascending、Treading、Radiance、Humbling、Nearing，出自《易經》。最長的〈The Key of Nearing〉六分十九秒，口簧的泛音在吉他的持續音上滑動，聽久了會分不清哪一層在動。專輯名 Plot 在捷克語裡是籬笆，封面用的是 Alena Kučerová 1967 年那張同名版畫。黑膠三百張，頭一百張灰膠。
