出道二十週年，接在《Dot》與《Echo》之後。她另外有一個重金屬企劃叫 NHORHM，這件事平常只是履歷上的一行，這次卻直接寫進了音樂裡：〈Black Water〉與〈Relief #1〉都是踩著 heavy metal 的 riff 寫成的爵士曲，一段壓一段疊上去，專輯名 Layer 就是這麼來的。所以推薦語找了樂評人伊藤政則（在金屬圈說話很有份量的那位），這個組合就是這張碟的說明書。錄音方式也不含糊：2025 年 11 月 15 日在澀谷公園通り Classics，當著觀眾錄，同時做了空間音訊對應。編制在鋼琴三重奏（西山瞳、西嶋徹、則武諒）之外，再加鈴木孝紀的單簧管、橋爪亮督的次中音薩克斯與長笛、maiko 的小提琴。全曲她自己寫，只有第八曲的編曲交給梶純。

François-Xavier Poizat — Ravel Transcriptions

The Rapsodie espagnole here is Ravel's own two-piano arrangement, but with a percussion part newly written by Till Lingenberg laid over all four movements — a piece that has managed a century without drums now has them. The rest of the programme is similarly unfussed about categories: Shéhérazade in the chamber version for voice, flute and piano, with Marie-Claude Chappuis and Héléna Macherel; the same flute alone for the second of the Cinq mélodies populaires grecques, over in eighty-three seconds; and, at the end, Ravel improvising on "The Lamp Is Low," a popular song that had lifted its tune from his own Pavane in the first place. Poizat was found by Argerich at twelve. He has been circling this composer for years and seems to have decided that the interesting Ravel is the one being passed around. 整張碟都是改編曲，最有意思的一手在最後兩軌。倒數第二首是 Gil-Marchex 從《L'Enfant et les Sortilèges》拉出來的〈Five o'Clock Foxtrot〉，收尾則是拉威爾本人對流行曲〈The Lamp Is Low〉的即興，四分零五秒——而那條旋律，本來就是從他自己的《Pavane》裡拿走的。繞了一圈回到手上。《Rapsodie espagnole》用他自己的雙鋼琴編曲，但這一版另外請 Till Lingenberg 新寫了打擊聲部；《Shéhérazade》則用人聲、長笛與鋼琴的室內樂版本，Marie-Claude Chappuis 唱，Héléna Macherel 吹長笛。

Three of the four composers here are women, and the fourth was married to one of them: Doreen Carwithen and William Alwyn, a fact the booklet leaves alone. Carwithen's concerto for piano and strings takes nearly half the disc. The rarity is Alwyn's Autumn Legend, ten minutes for cor anglais and orchestra, an instrument with a concerto repertoire you could list on one hand. Gipps contributes a viola piece about Lady Jane Grey; Maconchy's Life Story is the only work with no soloist at all. "Wannabe" has nothing to do with the Spice Girls. It is a wall of two chords with a rhythm section swinging back and forth across it like a wiper blade, and it takes several passes before a violin, a bass and a whispered voice separate out of the mass. Guy Gormley and Thomas Bush began this project as a joke about big-room techno sung in a folk register, and on their fourth album they have finally dropped the rule that everything had to be rooted in Britain: hence "Reagan Memorial Tollway (Interlude)." In another interlude an American man says, flatly, that he will be home late and is not sure when. Guy Gormley 與 Thomas Bush 的第四張。前三張守著一條自訂規矩：紮根英國。這張把規矩拆了，曲名裡出現〈Reagan Memorial Tollway (Interlude)〉這種美國公路符號。〈Wannabe〉跟辣妹合唱團沒有關係，是一面雙和絃的音牆配上來回擺動的節奏組，多聽幾遍才浮出小提琴、低音與耳語。另一段間奏〈Bishopsgate〉裡，一個美國男聲平板地念了一句：晚點回，不確定幾點。

The rabbit above is the point, but the texture is what holds. Iglooghost and daisy* — formerly BABii — say they became fixated on the brief moment in the early 2000s when outsider hip-hop and IDM overlapped, and wanted to write the sequel to a conversation that stopped twenty years ago. The lyrics come out of making a rap album while raising a first child: "Dog Shit," "Needle," "Pest," "Knackered." It is the least ornamental thing either of them has done. Iglooghost 與 daisy*（前 BABii）的首張雙人作，兩人現居布里斯托。他們自述想接上千禧年初怪咖 hip-hop 與 IDM 短暫交會的那一瞬間，那條線斷了二十年。跟他們過去那些奇幻世界相反，這張碟發生在去錄音室路上會經過的灰巷子，歌詞素材是一邊帶第一個孩子一邊做碟的日常——曲名就叫〈Dog Shit〉〈Needle〉〈Knackered〉。反派是一隻卡通兔子，沒有任何法力，唯一的目標是騙走他們的版權合約，順便把花園弄亂。

Dos Santos — Es Amor

Alex E. Chávez hummed a melody one night with a nylon-string guitar in his hands and could not place it. Weeks later, going through records in a Texas archive, he put on something his father had recorded in the 1980s, and there it was. The title track is a rework of his father's "El Amor." The rest of the album was cut with Beto Martinez on the instruction that it should sound the way the band sounds live, which mostly means nobody has smoothed the edges: "El Lobo" runs a tight guitar groove over insistent percussion with a processed bass underneath, and the whole thing seems to be descending. 這張碟的起點是一段來源不明的調子。主唱 Alex E. Chávez 某夜抱著尼龍弦吉他哼出來，幾週後在德州一間檔案館翻唱片，轉盤上放的正是他父親一九八〇年代錄的那張——同一段旋律。標題曲就是從父親的〈El Amor〉改的。芝加哥五人編制，製作人 Beto Martinez，要求錄成他們現場的樣子。〈El Lobo〉的吉他 groove 咬得極緊，底下壓一條處理過的低音。

Leah Lavigne took the band to Asheville and hired Alex Farrar, who records Wednesday and MJ Lenderman and made her 2024 debut, and the second album leans considerably further into a country tremolo than the first. She manages a small venue in Brooklyn, which is the fact that makes the opener — "Rock n Roll Ruined My Life" — read as accounting rather than complaint. "God Made a Farmer" gets its wail from a pedal steel. 開場曲叫〈Rock n Roll Ruined My Life〉，而寫這句話的人自己在布魯克林經營一家小型 live house。第二張 LP，跑到 Asheville 找 Alex Farrar 錄——Wednesday 與 MJ Lenderman 的那位——整體往 alt-country 的顫音方向壓。〈God Made a Farmer〉用一段哀嚎的滑棒吉他講經濟看不到未來這件事。

第二張全長，九軌。主題是忘記，開場曲乾脆叫〈レーテー〉，遺忘之河。全篇混音由シンリズム擔任，他還在頭尾兩首直接下海彈了貝斯。〈ディア・マイ・モーメント〉找來 Nagakumo，兩隊吉他手對飆、雙主唱。收尾的〈Ghost diary〉寫的是一個與自己極相似的鬼魂：比我更會說謊，比我更坦率地笑。作詞作曲 paya。全碟最短的一首隻有一分三十九秒。
